Today it is directed by M\u00e1rcio Botner and Elsa Ravazzolo Botner, and maintains a strong connection to its original location in Rio de Janeiro\u2019s Saara district, where its historic townhouses embody the area\u2019s layered cultural influences.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, the gallery expanded its presence with the opening of a second exhibition space in the Higien\u00f3polis neighborhood of S\u00e3o Paulo, extending its reach within Brazil\u2019s contemporary art landscape. Diversity and exchange are central to A Gentil Carioca\u2019s identity, with a program that encourages dialogue between artists, audiences, and different cultural contexts.
