The gallery provided a platform for exiled and dissident artists including Jos\u00e9 Balmes, Juan Downey, Carlos Leppe, and members of the C.A.D.A. collective, establishing itself as a center of cultural resistance and a catalyst for critical dialogue during Chile\u2019s democratic transition.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1997, Galer\u00eda Isabel Aninat has expanded its reach internationally, representing leading Chilean and Latin American artists at major art fairs such as Art Basel, ARCO Madrid, and The Armory Show. Now directed by Javiera Garc\u00eda-Huidobro, the gallery continues to support multidisciplinary and conceptually driven practices that address social, political, and environmental issues.
