acb Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Budapest, founded in 2003, and widely regarded as a leading platform within the Hungarian and broader Eastern European art scene. The gallery initially concentrated on Hungarian and international neo conceptual and new media artists associated with the 1990s before gradually expanding its program to include significant figures of the Hungarian neo avant garde from the 1960s and 1970s, alongside younger emerging artists. This layered approach reflects an ongoing interest in connecting historical artistic positions with contemporary practices.
The gallery operates multiple exhibition venues in Budapest, including its main gallery space, acb Attachment, which functions as an experimental project space, and acb Plus, dedicated to large scale presentations. Beyond exhibitions, acb supports research and publishing initiatives through acb ResearchLab, founded in 2015 to foster scholarly work and critical reassessment of Hungarian neo and post avant garde art. In 2024, the gallery further expanded its activities with the launch of acb Media, a podcast and video platform that reinforces its commitment to engaging diverse audiences and strengthening ties with both local and international collectors.
