Acquavella Galleries, Palm Beach
Founded in the early 1920s by Nicholas Acquavella, Acquavella Galleries is a three‑generation, family‑run gallery renowned for its expertise in 19th-, 20th-, and 21st‑century art. Originally focused on Italian Renaissance and Old Master paintings, the gallery expanded under Bill Acquavella to include Impressionist, Post‑Impressionist, Cubist, Surrealist, postwar, and contemporary art, now exhibiting works by many of the most significant modern and contemporary artists. Alongside its secondary‑market activity, Acquavella represents select contemporary artists on the primary market. For nearly a century, the gallery has placed important paintings and sculptures with major private collections and museums worldwide and has built a strong reputation for curating museum‑quality loan and sales exhibitions. Based in a five‑story French neo‑classical townhouse at 18 East 79th Street in New York City, the gallery remains a leading presence in the international art market.
