Alfonso Artiaco is a contemporary art gallery based in Naples that was founded in 1986, when Alfonso Artiaco opened his first space in Pozzuoli on Corso Nicola Terracciano at the age of twenty two. From the beginning, the gallery established a strong international and conceptually oriented identity. Its inaugural exhibition, titled Possibilità di collezione, brought together works by leading figures of postwar and contemporary art such as Alighiero Boetti, Joseph Beuys, Luciano Fabro, Luigi Ontani, Giulio Paolini, Mario Schifano, and Andy Warhol, setting an ambitious and critically engaged direction for the program.
