Alisan Fine Arts is a contemporary art gallery co founded in Hong Kong in 1981 by Alice King and is recognized as the city’s longest standing contemporary gallery. From its beginnings, the gallery has played a pioneering role in promoting Chinese diasporic contemporary art, working with artists from Asia, Europe, and the United States while encouraging sustained cross cultural exchange. Its program has consistently combined historical awareness with a forward looking approach to contemporary practice.
The gallery expanded its international presence in 2023 with the opening of a New York City location dedicated to the narratives of Chinese diaspora artists and the support of emerging Asian American voices. In Hong Kong, Alisan Fine Arts operates spaces in Central and, since 2024, in Aberdeen, where it established Alisan Atelier, a large scale complex bringing together gallery, office, library, and project spaces. Through its activities across Hong Kong and New York, the gallery continues to develop an innovative platform for Chinese contemporary art and to support new generations of artists on an international stage.
