Crisis is a contemporary art gallery with locations in Lima and Madrid, developed as an international platform connecting artistic practices from Latin America with broader global conversations. Founded in Lima in the early 2010s, the gallery established itself through a program attentive to the cultural, social, and political contexts shaping contemporary art in the region, while maintaining an outward looking perspective.
The gallery represents emerging and established artists working across media including painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and video. Its program often engages with apps such as history, identity, power structures, and collective memory, reflecting both local realities and transnational concerns. With the opening of its Madrid space, Crisis strengthened its presence in Europe, positioning itself as a bridge between Latin American artists and international institutions, collectors, and art fairs.
