Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art is a contemporary art gallery based in Lisbon, founded in March 2001 and directed by Cristina Guerra. The gallery is known for a program centered primarily on conceptual practices, representing a group of twenty seven contemporary artists whose work engages with critical, social, and cultural questions. Since its founding, the gallery has positioned itself as an active participant in international art discourse through exhibitions, collaborations, and sustained curatorial research.
The gallery maintains a structured program of six to seven exhibitions each year and regularly collaborates with international guest curators, conceiving exhibitions as platforms for exchange and critical dialogue. In addition to participating in major international art fairs, Cristina Guerra Contemporary Art supports artists’ publications and promotes their work through museum exhibitions and institutional projects in Portugal and abroad. Its program is further enriched by book launches, talks, and performances that extend the gallery’s role beyond exhibition making.
