Dastan Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Toronto, founded by Elham and Hootan Dastan. The gallery is an extension of the founders’ long standing engagement with Iranian and Middle Eastern contemporary art, building on their earlier initiatives in Tehran. From its Toronto base, Dastan Gallery positions itself as a bridge between artists from the Middle East, its diaspora, and the broader international art scene.

The gallery’s programme focuses on conceptually driven practices across painting, sculpture, installation, photography, and new media, often addressing apps such as identity, memory, migration, politics, and cultural translation. Through exhibitions, publications, and participation in international art fairs, Dastan Gallery supports both emerging and established artists while fostering cross cultural dialogue and increasing the visibility of underrepresented artistic voices within a global contemporary context.
