de Sarthe is an international contemporary art gallery with locations in Hong Kong and Scottsdale, Arizona. Founded in 1977, the gallery has developed a dual focus that combines a forward looking programme dedicated to emerging and mid career artists from Asia with an established presence in 20th century Modern and Post war art. Its contemporary exhibitions foreground practices that respond to current social conditions, cultural narratives, and the influence of new technologies.

The Hong Kong gallery is situated in Wong Chuk Hang, a key art district in the city, and is committed to supporting the next generation of artists from the region, including through its annual deSAR summer residency programme. The Scottsdale space, opened in 2022, expands the gallery’s international reach and experiments with alternative modes of presentation, presenting artists from Asia alongside international practices while extending the gallery’s advisory and curatorial activities.
