Felix Gaudlitz is a contemporary art gallery based in Vienna, presenting a program that brings together international emerging and established artists. The gallery operates in close dialogue with the adjacent publishing house saxpublishers, which was co founded in 2014 by Felix Gaudlitz and graphic designer Alexander Nussbaumer. Together, the gallery and publisher form an integrated platform that extends artistic practice beyond exhibitions into research, writing, and publishing.
Alongside its exhibition program, Felix Gaudlitz produces artists’ books and historical essays and hosts a public program of readings, lectures, book launches, and film screenings. The gallery’s curatorial interests engage a broad range of conceptual and critical concerns, including poetry, semiotics, systems, surrealism, storytelling, refusal, spectacle, consumerism, labor, class, value, discomfort, and site sensitivity. Through these apps, its program explores questions of ephemerality, circulation, realism, collapse, globalism, and conditions of production, examining how meaning, power, and value are constructed and contested in contemporary culture.
