Fox Jensen is a contemporary art gallery operating between Sydney and Auckland. Founded in New Zealand in 1988 by Andrew Jensen, the gallery has developed over more than three decades into a platform that brings international artists into dialogue with leading practices from Australia and New Zealand. It expanded to Sydney in 2011 and today operates as Fox Jensen in Sydney and Fox Jensen McCrory in Auckland.
The gallery is recognized for its ambitious exhibition program, which has included significant presentations by artists such as Imi Knoebel, Fred Sandback, Tony Oursler, and Helmut Federle, alongside a growing emphasis on curated thematic exhibitions. Projects such as E=MC², The Architecture of Colour, Melancholia, and No One’s Rose reflect a sustained curatorial approach that extends beyond conventional solo presentations. Led by Andrew Jensen in partnership with Emma Fox and Sarah McCrory, the gallery maintains close working relationships with its artists and actively participates in major European, Asian, and Australasian art fairs, including Art Basel Hong Kong.
