François Ghebaly is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2009 that operates from Los Angeles and New York, with its program rooted in the cultural context of Los Angeles. The gallery has developed a rigorous, international, and multi generational program dedicated to supporting dynamic and experimental artistic practices that challenge and expand conventional definitions of art. It represents a broad roster of artists and artist estates working across all media, reflecting a sustained commitment to critical and forward looking approaches.
Central to the gallery’s mission is critical engagement that extends beyond exhibitions to include educational initiatives, publications, artist talks, editions, and special projects. The gallery represents thirty five artists and two artist estates, including Neïl Beloufa, Marius Bercea, Max Hooper Schneider, Channa Horwitz, Christine Sun Kim, Candice Lin, Ludovic Nkoth, and Kathleen Ryan. François Ghebaly operates a 12,000 square foot warehouse space in downtown Los Angeles alongside a gallery on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, supporting ambitious exhibitions and long term artistic development.
