Frittelli Arte Contemporanea is a contemporary art gallery based in Florence, inaugurated on 22 April 2006 at Via Val di Marina 15. Founded by Carlo and Simone Frittelli as a renewal and continuation of their earlier Centro d’Arte Spaziotempo in Piazza Peruzzi, the gallery occupies a fully renovated 2,000 square meter space designed by architect Adolfo Natalini. The venue includes galleries dedicated to temporary exhibitions, a permanent section known as Le Stanze devoted to artists closely associated with the gallery over time, and a small auditorium used for video screenings, talks, and seminars. Its location in northwest Florence offers convenient access from major transportation routes and infrastructure.
Alongside its exhibition program, Frittelli Arte Contemporanea is actively engaged in research and preservation through the management of significant artist archives. These include the graphic works of Pino Pascali as well as the archives of Gianni Bertini, Vinicio Berti, Paolo Masi, and Luciano Ori. Through this combination of exhibitions, archival stewardship, and public programming, the gallery positions itself as an important platform for both the presentation and historical contextualization of postwar and contemporary Italian art.
