Galería Agustina Ferreyra was a contemporary art gallery founded in 2013 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and later based in Mexico City. The gallery was known for its close engagement with emerging Latin American artists, developing a program that favored ambitious yet intimate exhibitions and sustained dialogue between artists, curators, and audiences. Working across painting, sculpture, installation, and photography, the gallery supported an intergenerational group of artists at pivotal stages in their careers.
The program placed a strong emphasis on identity driven practices that explored apps such as gender, sexuality, memory, geography, and personal and historical narratives. Galería Agustina Ferreyra often provided artists with early solo exhibitions and opportunities for international visibility, contributing meaningfully to the development of the Latin American contemporary art scene. Following the gallery’s activities, Agustina Ferreyra continued her professional trajectory as a director at OMR in Mexico City, one of the region’s leading galleries.
