Galería Elvira González is a leading modern and contemporary art gallery based in Madrid, founded in February 1994 by Elvira González after three decades directing Galería Theo. Since its inception, the gallery has established a highly influential program focused on European and American art, distinguished by its scholarly approach and long term engagement with historically significant artistic practices. The gallery is now directed by Elvira González’s daughters, Elvira and Isabel Mignoni, continuing its founding vision while expanding its international reach.
Since the mid 1990s, Galería Elvira González has presented rigorously curated solo and thematic exhibitions dedicated to major figures such as Mark Rothko, Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, Richard Serra, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Sol LeWitt, Robert Mapplethorpe, Joan Miró, Olafur Eliasson, and Miquel Barceló. Its roster includes artists such as Miquel Barceló, Waltercio Caldas, Olafur Eliasson, Gego, Robert Irwin, Chema Madoz, Yoshihiro Suda, and Juan Uslé.
