Galerie Forsblom is a contemporary art gallery founded in 1977 in Helsinki by Kaj Forsblom and is regarded as a leading institution within the Nordic art scene. The gallery has played an important role in introducing internationally recognized artists to Finland while also presenting emerging and established Nordic artists to both national and international audiences. Its program is characterized by long term collaboration, curatorial continuity, and an active engagement with different generations of artistic practice.
The gallery organizes up to twenty exhibitions each year, often presenting multiple shows simultaneously across its main gallery and an adjacent studio space that serves as a platform for experimentation and new talent. Galerie Forsblom maintains close working relationships with major Finnish artists such as Marianna Uutinen, Susanne Gottberg, and Heikki Marila, alongside emerging figures including Jenni Hiltunen and Emma Helle. It also represents internationally known artists such as Jason Martin and Stephan Balkenhol, and has a sustained engagement with American art through artists including Peter Halley, Tony Oursler, and Jacob Hashimoto. In parallel, the gallery actively supports museum exhibitions and large scale projects at institutions in Finland and abroad, contributing to the broader visibility of its artists within an institutional context.
