Galerie Haas is a modern and contemporary art gallery based in Berlin, founded in 1978 by Michael Haas. Over more than four decades, the gallery has developed a rigorous and scholarly program centered on solo exhibitions by internationally recognized artists from the twentieth and twenty first centuries, alongside carefully curated thematic presentations. Its exhibitions are consistently accompanied by research based publications, reflecting a sustained commitment to art historical context and critical interpretation.
The gallery expanded its activities with the opening of Galerie Haas AG in Zurich in 2003, broadening its program to place contemporary painting and sculpture in dialogue with key modernist positions. This curatorial approach was further developed in 2015 with the establishment of Kunst Lager Haas in Berlin Charlottenburg, a complementary space offering exhibitions, lectures, and curated access to the gallery’s holdings. Together, these initiatives underscore Galerie Haas’s focus on contextualized presentation and long term engagement with modern and contemporary art.
