Galerist is a contemporary art gallery based in Istanbul, founded in 2001. Since its establishment, the gallery has played a pioneering role in the Turkish art scene by supporting the development of leading Turkish artists and introducing their practices to international audiences. Its program brings together emerging artists, established figures, and artist estates from both national and global contexts, reflecting a balanced and outward looking curatorial approach.
Alongside its exhibition activities, Galerist is the publisher of Art Unlimited, a bilingual bimonthly art magazine launched in 2006 that has become an important platform for critical writing and the promotion of contemporary art in Turkey. The gallery also maintains a significant publishing program, producing monographs and catalogues dedicated to artists such as Elif Uras, Semiha Berksoy, Nil Yalter, and Taner Ceylan. Housed in an 18th century historic building with approximately 250 square meters of exhibition space, Galerist continues to support contemporary visual art through exhibitions, publications, and sustained cultural engagement.
