Heft Gallery
New York, 10002 United States Get Directions
Heft Gallery is a New York based contemporary art gallery dedicated to artists working with systems, algorithms, artificial intelligence, and other generative processes. Its program brings together pioneering figures and emerging voices within generative and computational art, with an emphasis on conceptually driven projects that often combine digital methods with traditional materials, immersive formats, and experimental modes of display.
Led by artist, curator, and creative director Adam Heft Berninger, the gallery has presented more than fifty projects since its founding, when it originally operated under the name Tender. Drawing on Berninger’s background in both studio practice and digital initiatives developed for institutions such as MoMA, Public Art Fund, and the Google Art Project, Heft Gallery collaborates closely with its artists to explore the cultural implications of evolving technologies. Based in the Lower East Side, the gallery presents monthly exhibitions, engages a global collector base, and participates in international art fairs including Untitled Art Miami, Paris Photo, Contemporary Istanbul, and Art Basel.
