ILY2 is a contemporary art gallery based in Portland and New York, founded in 2020 in downtown Portland. From its inception, the gallery has focused on supporting emerging, mid career, and historically underrepresented artists through a feminist, community oriented, and experimentally driven program. It began as a small storefront space that functioned as an incubator, giving resident artists full access to the gallery on a monthly basis to test ideas, reconfigure the space, and prioritize artistic risk outside conventional commercial expectations.

Following the success of this early model, ILY2 expanded its presence in 2023 with the opening of a flagship commercial gallery in Portland’s Pearl District. While growing its scale, the gallery has maintained an alternative ethos centered on mentorship, shared resources, and long term network building. Continuing its development, ILY2 is opening its first satellite space in New York City in late spring 2025, extending its commitment to collaborative and forward thinking contemporary art practices to a broader international audience.
