Inman Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Houston, founded in 1990 with an initial focus on artists from the city and the surrounding region. Over time, it has developed an internationally recognized program representing contemporary artists working locally, nationally, and globally. The gallery’s mission emphasizes education, community engagement, and a long term commitment to supporting artists throughout the different stages of their careers.
Inman Gallery actively fosters artists’ development from early practice to national and international visibility, with represented artists exhibiting at major institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Centre Pompidou, the Walker Art Center, the Venice Biennale, the New Museum, and The Menil Collection. Works by gallery artists are held in prominent public collections such as the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, LACMA, the Baltimore Museum of Art, and the Whitney Museum. The program also includes the representation of the estate of Texas modernist Dorothy Antoinette LaSelle since 2016, and the gallery has been a member of the Art Dealers Association of America since 2009.
