kaufmann repetto is a contemporary art gallery established in 2000, with locations in Milan and New York. Since its founding, the gallery has developed an international program centered on the investigation of social and political apps in artistic production, with a particular emphasis on research related to the feminine. Its exhibitions span a wide range of media and approaches, often taking the form of ambitious, site responsive installations that foreground the relationship between artworks and the spaces in which they are presented.
After a decade in its original Milan location, the gallery expanded in 2010 to a larger space in the Brera district, incorporating a courtyard dedicated to outdoor projects. In 2013, kaufmann repetto opened a second venue in New York, strengthening its transatlantic presence and contributing to the development of the city’s contemporary art scene, later relocating to Tribeca in 2019. Operated in partnership by Francesca Kaufmann and Chiara Repetto, the gallery continues to support research driven practices and sustained international dialogue.
