Lars Friedrich Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Berlin, founded in 2011 near Rosa Luxemburg Platz. It began as a small, apartment based exhibition space dedicated to focused solo presentations, often providing artists with their first gallery exhibitions and introducing practices from cities such as New York and Vienna to Berlin audiences.
Following a period of nomadic and temporary projects, including Park McArthur’s first European solo exhibition, the gallery established its current space on Kantstraße. This move allowed the program to expand while maintaining an emphasis on close, long term collaboration with artists. The gallery’s exhibitions focus on painting, sculpture, film, and practices of institutional critique, creating a dialogue between Berlin based and international positions and contributing to ongoing conversations in contemporary art.
