Mariane Ibrahim is a contemporary art gallery with locations in Chicago, Mexico City, and Paris. Founded in Seattle, the gallery relocated its main base to Chicago in 2019 and has since expanded internationally, opening a European space in Paris in September 2021 followed by a third location in Mexico City in 2023. The gallery is known for its strong commitment to artists of the African diaspora, presenting both leading and emerging voices within a globally engaged contemporary art program.
The gallery has organized critically recognized exhibitions by artists such as Amoako Boafo, Yukimasa Ida, Peter Uka, and Zohra Opoku, while actively collaborating with major international institutions and maintaining a visible presence at global art fairs through award recognized presentations. Its broader influence is reflected in the leadership of founder Mariane Ibrahim, who received France’s Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2021, won the Presents Section prize at The Armory Show in 2017, has served on The Armory Show Selection Committee and the Performa Arts Visionaries Committee, and is a member of the Art Dealers Association of America.
